Guided Tasting Event – District 5160 Rotary Conference
Guided Tasting – Italian Olive Oils
April 27th – 3:00 – 4:00 PM
Old Sacramento Waterfront Tasting Room (131 J St, Sacramento, CA. 95814)
Join the owner of The Chefs’ Olive Mix, Lisa Lubeley, for a guided Olive Oil Tasting with our 2023 Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oils. These oils often win International Competition medals. We will discuss olive oil varietals, production, tasting techniques and much more. Bread, olives, cheese and a bottled water are included.
You will be able to sample all our oils/balsamics after the sit down tasting.
Ms. Lubeley has been a professional olive oil taste panel member and also takes customers on tours of world class mediterranean olive mills. Our next Tour will be in Southern Greece in the Fall of 2024.
Community Service Events
Community Service events including the Ladybug Program, making dog toys for animals in shelters and Mother’s Day cards to distribute with Meals on Wheels deliveries or other senior programs.
Ladybug Program (Started by Concord Rotarian Stephanie Prescott)
Assemble ladybug bags which include a variety of essential menstrual items for women/teens who do not have the ability to afford them. Given to shelters, crisis centers, health service partners. To date over 4,000 bags have been distributed.

State Capitol
The Capitol is open seven days a week. Weekend hours are 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Weekday hours are 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Tours are available by signing up with a docent in the Capitol Rotunda. And most importantly, admission to the Capitol is always free.
Capitol Tours

Public tours run weekdays on the hour from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Sign up for tours at
the Information Desk in the first Floor Rotunda. Our public tours are limited to 20 individuals on a first-come, first-served bases. We can only accommodate groups of up
to 10 people on each public tour.
Summer Tours:
April – October, Sunday and Wednesday 11:00 AM
Schools and groups of 10 or more may make a tour reservation by calling Reserve
California at 1-866-240-4655.
The North (L Street) and South (N Street) entrances have wheelchair ramps. Sidewalks leading to the Capitol are wheelchair accessible. Wheelchairs can be checked out for use in the building. To check out a wheelchair, visitors should come to the information desk in the first floor Rotunda. A driver license will be held until the wheelchair is returned.

Crocker Art Museum
One of the state’s premier collections of Californian art, dating from the Gold Rush to the present day, a collection of master drawings & European paintings.The Museum is open to the public Wednesday – Sunday from 10 a.m. -5 p.m. Advance registration is highly recommended. Face coverings are required for all guests over the age of 2.
